Dr Alexandra Phelan (Alex) holds a Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD), specialising in health law, ebola and ethics from Georgetown University. It is the highest degree offered by Georgetown, the program is small, exclusive and gives students a unique opportunity to benefit from the world’s largest law curriculum. From the discovery of COVID-19 in December 2019, Alex worked 526 days straight. She holds a key advocacy role in advising organisations on pandemic preparedness and response.
