Capturing the sounds of contemporary life: support Michael Grebla to make art happen
12 June 2024
The final phase of "Music for Transitions" needs your support. Michael Grebla (2016 Zelman Cowen John Monash Scholar) has launched a campaign to help finalise his album, a collection of four original string quartets that meditate upon the beauty and complexity of change in modern, everyday life.
So far, through international performances, awards, and critical acclaim, the quartets have gained momentum. In 2023, with the support of Creative Australia and in collaboration with the Penny Quartet, “Music for Transitions” the album was recorded at ABC Studios Melbourne, engineered, and produced by Alex Stinson of the ABC. Now, for the final stages of post-production, Michael and his team hope to continue to master, mix and edit tracks, and formulate the completing pieces of album art and music video which will elevate the work for a wider audience.
The post-production phase will enable Michael to approach labels and broadcasters whose distribution will mean "Music for Transitions" is accessible to a global audience.
