The 2020 Virtual John Monash Oration
Leadership, Faith and Trust
In adversity, when all important questions remain unanswered, the power is in the story.
The John Monash Oration is an annual signature event which provides insight into different aspects of leadership in Australian society.
Hosted by long-term supporter Commonwealth Bank, we were honoured to have Dr Brendan Nelson AO BMBS FRACP(Hon) FAMA FRSN, deliver the Oration on the topic Leadership, Faith and Trust: In adversity, when all important questions remain unanswered, the power is in the story, with the reply given by 2013 BHP John Monash Scholar Jillian Kilby.
This year the Oration was held virtually, allowing viewers to join the discussion via a live Q&A Session. We encourage you to take the time to be inspired and moved by the outstanding presentations of our speakers.
Both speakers challenged the audience to think about leadership in adversity followed by a lively discussion on how to look into the future. The General Sir John Monash Foundation is grateful to both our speakers for their engaging discussion and the Commonwealth Bank for their support and hospitality.
