Amy McLennan is a social researcher and experienced facilitator working at the intersections of health, society, ecology and technology. She is currently Senior Fellow at the ANU School of Cybernetics. Amy has academic training in biomedical science, human nutrition and medical anthropology, and experience in human-centred design consulting, and in national policy making, as a Senior Analyst in the Australian Government’s Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. She has been affiliated with the University of Oxford for over a decade, where her work has focused on food systems, obesity, medical anthropology and human ecology.
Amy is skilled at synthesising diverse perspectives, designing and delivering innovative knowledge translation initiatives, and facilitating collaboration and learning. She has a deep sense of community, having grown up in the Aussie countryside, and she likes to infuse complexity, creativity and curiosity into her work.
