Dr Amy McLennan is a social researcher and education innovator who’s all about improving population wellbeing through people-centred approaches. She trained in medical anthropology at the University of Oxford, following degrees in biomedical science and French. Her research in areas including food systems, chronic disease, obesity, public health nutrition and technology futures has been featured in leading academic journals and the global media, including the BBC and The Guardian. She is an Advisor to SXSW Sydney, a GSL Global Goals Hero, and an endometriosis patient/researcher.
Amy is a skilled collaborator, with experience delivering cross-agency policy reform in the Australian government’s Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and designing and facilitating high-profile collaborative workshops in Paris, Bremen, Canberra, Sydney, New York, London and Oxford.
Amy is an Associate Professor, School of Systems and Society, Australian National University, a Research Affiliate, School of Anthropology, University of Oxford and Academic Engagement Advisor, Australian Public Service Commission.
