Laura completed a Masters in Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University in Sweden between 2011 to 2013, with the support of the John Monash Scholarship. Since completing her Masters, she has worked in Timbuktu, Jerusalem and Monrovia, as well as in Australia and France, for major international organisations including the United Nations and World Vision. Since her return to Australia in 2016, Laura has worked at Wendy Brooks & Partners as a facilitator for social purpose organisations, specialising in collaboration, strategy and team culture and effectiveness. Her clients include social justice leaders such as the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC), SNAICC - National Voice for our Children and Health Justice Australia. Laura completed an Advanced Diploma in Group Facilitation with the Groupwork Centre in 2018. Her undergraduate studies were in Law, Journalism and International Relations at the University of Queensland. Laura worked as a Judge's Associate to her Honour Justice White of the Queensland Court of Appeal in 2010, and was admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of Queensland in December 2010.
