Katherine has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science with First Class Honours from La Trobe University, and an MBBS from The University of Melbourne with First Class Honours. She is an advanced paediatric trainee and published author who has volunteered extensively overseas. She has worked with Medecins San Frontieres in Afghanistan, South Sudan and Iraq, supervising paediatric and neonatal projects. Katherine used her John Monash Scholarship to complete a Master's in International Public Health (Hons.) and a Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (Hons.) at Oxford University. As part of her Masters, she completed an Internship at the World Health Organisation in Geneva. After completing her Masters, Katherine returned to Iraq to work for MSF and volunteered at a children's hospital in Laos. Katherine is currently continuing her paediatric training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
