Dr Rosie Dawkins is a vitreo-retinal surgeon. She works at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service, as well as in private practice in Melbourne.
Dr Dawkins completed her undergraduate degrees at UWA, followed by her Masters at Harvard University. She undertook clinical fellowships at HGNV in Timor-Leste, Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge UK, and the RVEEH in Melbourne Australia. Dr Dawkins is highly trained in all areas of vitreo-retinal surgery, and also involved in research in endophthalmitis, improving surgical outcomes, and the development of the bionic eye. Her passion is ensuring that clinical advances become available to all patients, prioritising those most in need. She is involved in service delivery to Aboriginal communities in Australia, and service development and education in Timor-Leste.
