Hsien is a Dermatologist living and working in the Northern Rivers, NSW. He is also a Staff Specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, where he provides a Confocal Microscopy high risk melanoma service. He also serves as a medical director at Metasense, a company developing wearable UV sensing technology to monitor workplace sun exposure.
He completed his medical training at the University of Western Australia, and his junior doctor training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, and the Hunter New England Health Network in NSW. He was awarded a Monash Scholarship in 2006 and completed a DPhil in Immunology at the Weatherall Institute, University of Oxford, under the supervision of Professor Graham Ogg.
Hsien’s subsequent clinical training in dermatology was undertaken in New South Wales. His particular clinical interests include the early diagnosis and management of skin cancers and the management of inflammatory skin conditions.
