Dr Nicole Bart completed a DPhil at Oxford University looking at the study of hypoxia- oxygen deprivation- and the clinical implications on the cardiopulmonary system. During this time she also worked as a physician at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Dr. Bart is passionate about medical education, and has won teaching awards from Green Templeton College at Oxford University. Since returning to Australia Dr. Bart has worked as a clinician-scientist in the field of heart failure cardiology. She has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals and is an invited speaker at national and international conferences. She has several topics that she is passionate about including heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, genetics, medical education and women in science. Dr. Bart is a lecturer for the University of New South Wales and the University of Notre Dame in medicine. She is also a guest lecturer in leadership and teamwork for the Harvard Extension School, and a guest lecturer for the Australian College of Sports Physicians. Outside of medicine, Dr. Bart can usually be found in the mountains or swimming in the ocean.
