Amy recently joined the SA Environmental Protection Authority as Deputy Chief Executive. Prior to joining the SA EPA Amy headed up the environmental regulation team in the Northern Territory, where she oversaw regulation of the Territory’s waste industry as well as onshore petroleum. Amy sees enormous value in building professional networks for women, including women in the environmental regulation and circular economy professions. She believes that good environmental regulation balances good lawyering, good science, good judgment and most of all, strong teamwork. Amy has had a multi-disciplinary career, having practiced as a commercial and native title lawyer as well as an environmental engineer and public servant. Amy’s proudest achievement is undoubtedly the strong regulatory team and culture she established in the Territory’s environmental regulator. With her John Monash Scholarship Amy studied a Masters in Public Administration at Harvard University and is also a Fulbright Scholar. She also holds a Masters in Mineral Law and Policy from the University of Dundee and Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Engineering and Law from the University of New South Wales.
