Strategy and regulatory reform in social services and healthcare; not-for-profit employment programs for disadvantaged youths
Melissa-Ann has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (International Relations) from the University of New South Wales. She was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company, where her work has focused on strategy and regulatory reform in the public sector – both in Australia and the United Kingdom. After this, she was the Program Lead at Generation Australia, a not-for-profit employment organisation focused on connecting unemployed and underemployed young adults with the training, support, and jobs to change their life trajectories. Her ambition is to meaningfully reform social policy in Australia. In particular, she is interested in designing and implementing policy interventions to reduce the incidence and impact of long-term welfare dependency. Melissa-Ann is studying a Master of Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, focusing on political and economic development.
