Tristan is a recently admitted solicitor, having completed his studies at the University of Western Australia, where he finished in second place in his graduating cohort. After growing up in several locations across Western Australia, he has taken the opportunity to gain experience in a new environment by undertaking a tipstaff/associate position to the Hon. Justice Mark Leeming at the New South Wales Court of Appeal. Tristan’s strong interest in public law, and the wide-ranging impacts it can have on the community, was developed over two years as a research assistant to the Solicitor-General of Western Australia, where he was involved in constitutional matters before the High Court of Australia and advice to government. “I firmly believe that the greatest impact I can have on Australia is through working in public law and in providing frank advice to governments to ensure that laws which are being implemented uphold the rule of law and that the government is acutely aware of the legislation's impact.”
