Trent is an artist, filmmaker, educator and researcher. He graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with First Class Honours. His interdisciplinary art and research practice addresses the growing influence synthetic media technology has on notions of truth, belief and agency. His artworks have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including solo exhibitions in Beijing and Tokyo. His recent film LOCK (2022) took first place at the Cologne International Film Festival for Best Experimental Film. Trent is a tutor in Sculpture at the University of Melbourne and a Museums Officer at Monash University Museum of Art. “My objective is to establish myself as a world-leading research-based artist and academic based in Australia whose work contributes to key interdisciplinary conversations surrounding the influence of technology and visual media.”
