By night, she sews hats to raise money for Women’s Legal Service Queensland. Famin studied at the University of Queensland, where she completed a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and International Relations). Recently she received a University of Queensland Distinguished Young Alumni Award. Famin is passionate about using her skills to improve the way the Australian legal and policy system deals with culturally diverse women experiencing domestic violence. “At the end of my career, I want to be remembered for the social change I created to help people suffering disadvantage, and the number of others I inspired to do the same.”
