Supporting the General Sir John Monash Foundation

The Sir John Monash legacy of life-long learning, camaraderie, leadership, innovation and generosity is as relevant today as it was 100 years ago.

That is why we need your help to further expand and grow the General Sir John Monash Foundation, a key part of which is the provision of postgraduate scholarships to outstanding Australians.

To encourage the John Monash Scholars to be the very best they can, we are currently focused on two key areas of growth. We aim to:

  1. Increase our endowment fund so we can provide 20 scholarships annually by 2020 and;
  2. Develop the John Monash Scholar Alumni.

There are a number of ways in which you can join the 2020 Campaign in support of the General Sir John Monash Foundation:

  • provide your professional services on a pro bono basis, for example as part of the John Monash Scholarship selection process;
  • support our alumni program of activities, for example by introducing our returned Scholars to your networks and providing them with an opportunity to speak at appropriate events;
  • join the Chairman’s Circle, a group of individuals who together support the Chairman’s Circle John Monash Scholars;
  • support one or more Scholarships; and
  • make a financial donation to support the John Monash Scholarship and alumni programs.

Your help and involvement would be greatly appreciated. It would also provide you with an opportunity to become part of the wider General Sir John Monash Foundation family. Many of our current supporters tell us they are inspired by the achievements of our Scholars who they love to meet with to discuss their ideas and vision for the future.

More importantly, all our supporters have the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping to create Australia’s future leaders who are committed to making a difference to the world we all live in.
